After the chaotic events of the night and morning, as described at the end of episode 3, I decided, during the few minutes I spent behind the board just before the game, to play the opening I had briefly discussed beforehand with Rik Keurentjes. The only goal was to prevent Anikeev from enjoying an opening we had already played, so that he would have to think from the very start. I felt that this had worked well for me in the previous games.
